Wilber by Lionus (1999)

Shy, but happily wagging his tail ...

Pencil, pen and Photoshop coloring. I played with the line-weights in this drawing to introduce some visual variety. I think it worked well.

Wilber Crooktail is a smallish wolf with a personality that has been most often described as "sweet and cute". He'd blush to hear himself described that way, but it is accurate.
Being on the smallish side, Wilber never developed the typical rough tough wolf personna. Instead he's rather bookish, trusting, and perpetually wonderous of the world.
