What So Proudly We Hail by Lionus

What So Proudly We Hail by Lionus (2001)

9/11

During the War of 1812 enemy ships bombarded Fort McHenry throughout the night in preparation of assaulting the city of Baltimore in the morning. The composer Francis Scott Key, along with the city's residents, anxiously watched the battle. But through flash and glare of cannon and "rockets' red glare" the watchers were able to see that the fort's flag, "which so proudly we hailed," was still defiantly flying high.

Through the flash and thunder of sudden attack and anonymous assault made from the darkness of hated today, our flag and what it represents will continue to proudly fly.
