Gladiator by Lionus

Gladiator by Lionus (2000)

"Are you entertained now?! Is this what you wanted to see?!"

I have always loved anything to do with Ancient Rome. And so, when the movie "Gladiator" came out, I was one of the first in line to see it. Needless to say I was blown away by it from the first scene to the very last. I went back to see the motion picture twice more, bought the two CDs containing the soundtrack, a photobook of how the movie was made, and eventually the movie DVD. Four years later I can not watch the movie without getting goosepimples of excitement.

Thanks very much Ridley, Russell, Hans and everyone concerned for a piece of great cinema "magic".

The piece above is my leonine version of the movie's poster. In it, I have shorn my long mane to match the hero's Roman haircut and replaced my normal cheery smile with much more somber, perhaps even haunted look befitting the character's employment.

Pencil, pen and PhotoShop.
