And I have included a web page below that will save you a LOT of work. I was working on just such a project, and it is almost finished, but I have not found the time to complete it. So feel free to take this and run with it. Take a look at it, and send me questions. But I will clarify a few points. I have categories on how the material fits into Mystara. And one of these is compatible. I attempt to include all D&D products, except Thunder Rift, which were not set in Mystara, as compatible. But I realize that it is something of an arbitrary definition. For example, Polyhedron #51 contains a D&D adventure, but it is a spoof of the Caves of Chaos, called Caves of Confection, and really does not fit in with a serious campaign world like Mystara. So it is left out of my lists. There are three products listed as vaporware, which may not actually be. I have placed a mail order with a company, which claims to finally have them, so I will see if they are in. They are all listed under the First Quest Series. I will be able to help with adding other material, like reviews, and you can get TSR product numbers from the following web page http://acm.org/~papay/tsr_prices_intro.html Now the biggest question of all is, is my list complete? Except for the net sources, I think it may very well be complete, but if not it is very close. I know there are other D&D adventures out there that are compatible with Mystara, and will include those as I find them. Let me know what you think, so I can help you refine it. Dave Keyser Also note that I did not post this to the list, you can choose to do that if you want. The Mystara Index Page

AN INDEX TO MYSTARA PRODUCTS

Mystara is the name of the planet which encompasses the greatest TSR campaigns ever produced for the D&D game. At different times, various regions of the campaign world have been known as the D&D Known World, the D&D Hollow World, the Savage Coast, Mystara and Red Steel. It was first introduced in 1981, with the D&D Basic Set, which mentioned the town of Luln. The D&D Expert Set soon followed, which laid out a map and briefly described the first country, Karameikos. It eventually became one of the most colorful and interesting worlds TSR has ever created, until being discontinued in 1996. While later campaign worlds have been carefully organized and released by TSR, allowing customers to easily follow the full list of products for each world, Mystara was begun much earlier. As a result, there has never been a list which attempts to fully document all Mystara campaign references ever published. This page attempts to rectify this problem.

This page includes all TSR D&D and AD&D products which use or mention Mystara. It extends to other products, not necessarily produced by TSR, if they provide information on the campaign world of Mystara. A few products have also been included which are compatible with Mystara. So while novels, computer games, home-spun adventures and products from other companies are(or can be) included, products like minatures or the SpellFire! game are not included, as they have no additional information that cannot be found in the index. I am willing to include stuff printed on the net, as long as it is available to the public(like MPGN), and conforms to the cannon of Mystara.

Definition of Terms Explicit - The item is directly and explicitly placed in Mystara. "Cannon" material. Implicit - The item does not define where in Mystara it exists, but is linked to Mystara because it is part of the same series, or contains material which is only found in Mystara. Compatible - The item is not set within Mystara, but is compatible with and easily placed in Mystara. Suggested - The item is not quite compatible, but methods and suggestions are made so that the item can be placed in Mystara. Mentioned - The item has very brief mention of Mystara, not directly related necessarily. For example, Planescape or Ravenloft products may include a character or setting from Mystara. Unknown - At this time, I do not know if the product is related to Mystara or not. Vaporware - The material was announced by TSR at some point in time, but in fact the project was never started.

This page is by no means complete, so I welcome any feedback or additional information that you may have on Mystara. Just send me e-mail at davidk@synopsys.com.
