In a world where genetically engineered moreaus--
humanoid animals designed for combat-- are a disliked and barely-tolerated
minority, the franks-- engineered humans-- are the most despised and feared
creatures of all. Evi Isham is a frank who has managed a life in human
society because she works for the Agency as a covert operative for the
government.
Suddenly, and without warning, Evi becomes the target for a squad of
ruthless moreau assassins. With no clue as to why she has become a target,
Evi has to come in from the cold, returning to an Agency which may no longer
be willing to protect her.
