DataPacRat's Draft for a Libertarian Compact, v. 0.1a
I [swear | promise | affirm | announce my intention]:
- 1) To try to avoid infringing upon the rights of others, by force, fraud or threat;
such rights including (but not limited to):
- The right to life,
- The right to own property,
- The right to liberty of self and property,
- The right to freedom of thought and expression,
- The right to act in self-defense;
- 2) To recompense anyone whose rights I do infringe, to restore matters as
closely as possible to what they would have been if I had not infringed upon
them; and
- 2a) If I cannot come to an agreement about whether compensation is owing, or
how much, to find a mutually-agreed neutral arbiter and abide by their ruling;
- 3) To participate in a process to describe what actions are to be considered
as infringing on someone's rights;
- 4) To act in the common defence of those who abide by similar principles.
