Shy by Lionus (1996)

A shy lionmorph catches your eye.

This was one of my earlier sketches where I was still trying to get body proportions to come out looking right. Did I succeed? Well I thought it turned out pretty well, or least the lionmorph's face did.

Oddly enough I received an e-mail many years later asking me whether I had copied an on-line picture of the writer Elf Steinberg. I went to Elf's site and sure enough the picture there and my drawing (at least the head and shoulders aspect) looked close enough to each other that they seemed to be of the same person. Ah, but the drawing was done long before I even knew what an Internet was. Still, an odd coincidence.
