The Holiday spirit

Hey, that's my artist there hanging that string of Christmas lights. He is very shy about appearing in any of my artwork, but this was Christmas and I was in the holiday mood of giving.

Any way, this drawing was given a somewhat complex background to get across the the idea of the Holiday Season and Christmas decorations being well hung so that the punch-line could be delivered.

For those not familure with this old English Christmas tradition, it runs like this. When someone stands under a sprig of mistletoe suspended in a doorway he or she can be kissed under it. Well in this pic no one is really standing under this sprig of mistletoe, but "standing up" for a kiss is only a matter of time. ;)
