First Time by Lionus (1999)

Two young lionmorphs about to embark on an experience.

There is a "first time" for every boy. Usually it takes place somewhere off-to-the-side with a trusted older friend. A friend who at that moment becomes the greatest person the boy has ever known. And like any voyage into the Unknown it's scary and exciting all at the same time. Then when the 'voyage of discovery' is over it is impossible to ever look at the world in exactly the same way ever again.

A visitor to "Lionus' World" found this pic inspiring enough to sit down and write a short story based on it. I can not tell you how very pleased I am by that. Oh I suppose I *could* tell you, but then this page would go on and on for several more monitor lengths and you would probably fall sound asleep before you got to the end of it. :-D

I can't remember exactly what graphics program that I was using at this time, but it was pre-PhotoShop. It was clunky to use and the layering was primitive. Yet maybe because of its limitations I was forced to keep the image simple which in context was the right thing to do.
