I will say right at the beginning that I had a lot of fun with this picture from the very outset. There were digital photos to take and alter, then slogging through books for research on costumes. In fact I did so many preliminary sketches and drawings for this Christmas "card" that I had quite a bit of material for another Christmas card. :) But that, as Kipling said, is another story. ;)
